Lion's Heart Regulus Near Moon

Lion’s Heart Visible Near Moon in East

Look up tonight and easily find the Heart of the Lion close to the rounding moon.  Bright star Regulus marks the lion’s heart in the constellation Leo.  Although we may see Regulus as the dot at the bottom of a question mark, ancient civilizations saw a mighty lion with a great mane and a bright heart.  The almost-full moon may outshine the bright heart tonight, but Leo and Regulus will soon dominate the Spring sky.
